Every New Year's day, Meg has been posting photos of what is on her looms. She also has links to other people who are sharing their 'day in the life of looms 2015' at the end of her post. Join us if you are interested. She has also put up guidelines to the next Weaver to Weaver.
I been neglecting my blog last year as I got a bit hooked on Instagram. However, there are limitations as to how much I can share on that platform and I am hoping to spend more time back here in 2015.
For the last couple of weeks I have been giving my big loom some very thorough maintenance:
2500 heddles: washed and re-installed
160 lamm to treadles cords: washed and re-installed
80 new connecting cords from treadles connecting to lamm cords: installed. (I don't know if this is the best way but it will have to do for the moment)
I only have 3 more treadles to tie up.......
Hopefully, before the day ends, it will have a new warp on it.

Yes, get back to weaving and blogging, young lady. LOL. I look forward to seeing more here. (I'm envious your nylon cords and heddles are glowing. Want to come and do mine??)
happy new year! looking forward to seeing your weaves over here.
I'm impressed by your loom maintenance. I never seem to find the time to do more than dust & vacuum mine.
Meg and Peg, the cleaning of the heddles and all the cords was a much bigger job than I imagined and took much longer than I anticipated. However, I am glad to have completed it though and probably won't have to do it again for many years!
That's exactly how I felt some years ago when I did it. Then I thought, never again! LOL.
Sigh. Ok - I'll give blogging a go again…..:)
Very nice! Happy new year!
You've inspired me to dust off my Thorp!
